This glass bowl was manufactured by turning brown glass in a spiral. The form was created using a blowpipe, and brown glass was wrapped around the body in a spiral. Next, the surface of the glass was etched with a sharp rod to create a wave pattern that adds rhythm to the work. The bubbles tend to rise toward the right, but fewer bubbles are apparent compared to many other glass bowls. The bottom of the inside is flat, and the mount was most likely manufactured separately and attached later.
